What is future?Every time I look at the stars in the sky,I ask myself.Its realy a hard question to answer it.The universe is boundless,we dont know where are we from and where shall we go.I stand there,at sea.

权力更是一种责任。每一个重要的职务所获得的相对权利都来自于大众的信任,所以每一个获得更多权利的人更应该看清楚的是自身所肩负的义务与使命。我竞选班长，一旦成功我必将肩负起为同学办事实谋权益的使命,做为一个班级的领头人物,必将做到慎权、慎独、慎微，自觉的接受来自各方的监督。我决不信奉“无过就是功”的信条，恰恰相反，我认为一个班干部“无功就是过”。

我将与风华正茂的同学们在一起，指点江山，发出我们青春的呼喊。当师生之间发生矛盾时，我一定明辨是非，敢于坚持原则。特别是当教师的说法或做法不尽正确时，我将敢于积极为同学们谋求正当的权益。如果同学们对我不信任，随时可以提出“不信任”提案，对我进行弹劾。你们放心，弹劾我不会像弹劾克林顿那样麻烦，我更不会死赖不走。

做班长，是一种荣誉，更是一种责任。我知道这条路上有许多挑战，但我自信我有能力担起这副担子，因为我的热情，我的毅力，我实事求是的工作态度。我知道，再多灿烂的话语也只不过是一瞬间的智慧与激情，朴实的行动才是开在成功之路上的鲜花。如果我有幸当选，我将以良好的精神状态，大胆地管理班级事务，使同学们的生活更加多姿多彩!

流星的光辉来自天体的摩擦，珍珠的璀璨来自贝壳的眼泪，而一个班级的优秀来自班干部的领导和全体同学的共同努力。

大家好!今天有机会站在这个光荣的讲台上，我感到非常荣幸。有一种树，没有玫瑰那么鲜艳，没有白杨那么威武，没有桂花树那么芬芳。它总是默默无闻地站在路边，为人们遮风挡雨。它是榆树，我就是它。它在我的名字里，在我的心里。我叫谢天宇。谢谢你的感谢。我生来就有天赋。今天我是一个竞选班长的小男孩。

班长，这是神圣的职责。很多人都想当班长，我也不例外。每当我看到其他班的班长，我的心就会竖立起一个高大的形象，他就像一个航海家，指引我们走向正确的航道;也像一个小老师指导学生改正错误;但他最像一个教练，训练我们的学习潜力和其他能力，我很想成为一名优秀的班长。

如果我成为班长，我可以充分发挥我的特长和优势来帮助更多的人。

我的大脑里充满了,的许多有趣的内容，这些内容可以教会有知识困难的学生，给他们一种新的学习方式，让他们觉得学习本身充满了很多乐趣;第二，身体壮如牛，奔跑速度和猎豹一样，可以帮助那些被欺负的同学。当然，我不会用暴力来解决。我会用猎豹敏锐的洞察力和敏捷的思维来维护阶级和平。因为我的心和身体一样强壮。

我很会做事，可以帮老师组织运动或者做其他事情，这样我们老师就不用那么辛苦了。

这些都是我的优点。如果我正式当选班长，我会尽我所能为班级负责，我会像榆树一样为学生遮风挡雨;为老师打工。让老师轻松，让学生开心。我会对我的班级负责，给自己增加压力，让我们的班级辉煌!

The advent of modern American university which largely happened in the last century has been the institutionalization of that human dream and this little physical space in which we gather together this morning is in many respects the near perfect fulfillment of that human vision. I know no other that can match it.

The columns, pillars, pediments, demes, classical inscriptions ascending steps, granite and limestone and marble and brick facades, which surround us convey the message that this is its own universe, a place governed by strictly observed code of academic inquiry, an insistence on open dialogue, informed by all-pervading skepticism and respect for the legacy of human achievement, created about a century ago, the Morningside campus represents the idea of an ordered, classical and even inward-looking world. To walk on to this campus is to feel one’s I.Q go up by 10 points.

Well, good morning, everyone. Hello, WashU, how is everyone doing?

Let me start with the most important words I can say today: Congratulations to the distinguished graduates of the great Class of 20xx.

I’d like to welcome everyone here – and Chancellor Wrighton for extending the invitation. I’ve known the chancellor for more than a decade, and I want to congratulate him for everything he has done to both transform this campus and raise academic standards.

If there are…if there are any older alumni present, be glad you applied back when you did. I can just tell you that certainly I would not have gotten into WashU today. For the record, I was the kind of student who always made the top half of the class possible.

Graduates, it’s a great honor to be your Commencement speaker. I accept the fact that I wasn’t your first choice. But unfortunately, T-Pain couldn’t make it. Mandatory vocal rest, he said. Actually, that’s the same reason I didn’t go out last night and sing karaoke at T’s.

Today’s a beautiful day. But this is St. Louis, and so before leaving my hotel this morning, I also packed a winter parka.

I drove over here, and I was lucky: I found a very convenient parking space – on West Campus – so I took the shuttle over. It was worth it. What an amazing place this is. Where else could I see the bunny? And the DUC.

Still, I was disappointed that, in all my walking around, I did not get to see the school’s most famous icon: Ninja Turtle Backpack Guy. Demetri, way to dance to your own beat.

Good afternoon!

Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.

Toastmaster of the day, fellow toastmasters, awonderful afternoon to all of you. My name is Jeff. Today I want to share withyou part of my life experiences and I hope some of you will find it useful.

March 15, 20xx, Xiamen, China. My phone rang the moment when I stepped into themain entrance of our condominium. It was my 68-year-old mum. She said, “your dad and I are now at the boarding gate, but we couldn’t find your dad’s bag, which contains his IC and a few thousand dollars”. Just 35 minutes back, I saw my dadand mum off at the airport. They were about to board a domestic flight toPudong where they would join my sister to fly to Toronto and stay there for another one year. A couple of days before that, I purposely went back to Xiamen, my hometown to see my parents off. I asked my parents to board the airplane first and I would make a second trip to airport and fetch my dad’s bag home. We were so fortunate that my mum kept the passports of both in her handbag.I quickly called the airport and got to the team in charge of security check.They found the bag and verified my identity.
