What is future?Every time I look at the stars in the sky,I ask myself.Its realy a hard question to answer it.The universe is boundless,we dont know where are we from and where shall we go.I stand there,at sea.

Last Sunday,there was a rain of meteors.I went to the belcony towait for their coming.Above my shoulder,it was the wind.Above the wind,it was the sky,huge and blue,with sparkling stars.Suddenly,a shooting star appeared.I hurried to pray for her happiness,staring at it.I wanted to pray for more,but it had already died out.I realised ,future is not carved on the meteors,but its now,around us.

Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar. Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.

It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life，during which ones mental and physical states are at their peaks. It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of

changes and rapid developments. In addition，one is less likely to be under great pressure from career，family and health problems when young. Therefore，a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.

Of course，we all know：no pains，no gains. If we dont make every effort to make good use of the

advantages youth brings us，it is impossible to achieve any goals. As students，we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

Universities have a critical role to play in helping our country tackle this challenge, and I want to thank everyone at WashU who has been part of that work.

There really is no time to waste. The problems driven by climate change are getting worse – and that’s something you’ve seen right here during your lifetime.

The recent Mississippi River floods have affected life in St. Louis and they have devastated farmers across the Midwest. Those types of natural disasters will continue to get more severe with climate change, according to the best scientific data.

The trouble is too many politicians aren’t interested in hard science. They’re only interested in political science and winning their next election. So they ignore the data, they try to cut funding for climate research – because they know it will undermine their political argument. Sometimes they even try to block public employees from uttering the words – climate change.

You can’t make this stuff up. You just have to wonder, what are they trying to hide? And the only conclusion I have drawn is that they’re either hiding their own ignorance or their own bad faith.

Either way, when government tries to gag scientists and censor our conclusions, watch out and speak up.

大家上午好！

6. I’m not used to speaking to such a large audience. The one thing that gives me courage is that I’m speaking on my favorite subject --- me.

7. People always ask me why I wear a big red ten gallon hat (or some other very noticeable article of clothing) and I tell them. It has to do with taking a positive but practical view of life. For instance, I know that no matter what happens, the good Lord is watching over us. Then again, there are now six billion of us, so I want to make darn sure He can pick me out of the crowd...

也许将来的你找到一个好的工作，为了结婚你借款买了房，从此便开始了漫长的还贷人生。当机会来敲门时，也许你不在家，于是机会走了：也许你在家，但是一套沉重的房子压得你喘不过气来，结果机会还是走了.一套房子消灭一个梦想 ，这不是我想要的生活，我相信这也不是你们想要的生活。

俞敏洪曾经说过一个年轻人在三年之内没有想法，那么他这一辈子也就是这样子。的确对于有些人来说三年真的很快，但是对于一个创业者来说，在三年的光阴中，你会有巅峰和谷底，你会品尝到更多的酸甜苦辣，你的生命会更加有意义机会是自己创造的，成功总是属于那么一小撮人，为了成为这一小撮人，投身创业，开拓人生，让自己成为这一小撮人中的一分子。

要创业总得有个目标吧，下面简单介绍一下我的创业梦想。

当今世界能源十分紧缺，而我国的能源形势更是不容乐观，因此开发可再生性能源是一个很好的项目。可再生性能源开发与销售公司，这也是我的初步梦想，作为信电学院的一名学生我人为自己的创业方向还是比较符合自己的专业，我真的希望将来能有一天，信电的孩子们可以走进我的公司信电的孩子们不用再为了找工作而发愁。

1、政策支持，学校鼓励。近几年，国家实行了创新工程，进行了体制创新和技术创新。教育部门出台了政策和措施，支持和鼓励在校大学生休学励志创业，欢迎出国留学生回国励志创业。从去年起，高考也放宽了入学年龄和婚否的限制，许多大学也陆续实行了学分制，一些高校相继开展大学生励志创业活动，具备励志创业计划大赛，这些举措都为大学生投身励志创业创造了前所未有的有利条件。

2、知识密集，技术先进。大学生群体励志创业者文化程度高，所学专业技术与励志创业紧密结合，能够学以致用，在技术创新上独树一帜。被媒体称为“中国励志创业第一人”的杨锦方是第一个将励志创业计划大赛引入清华圆、引入中国的人，他注册和创办了“视美乐”公司用所学的计算机知识，为公司发展做出了贡献。

3、社会实践、奠定基础。很多大学生参加勤工俭学、到高新技术企业实习或打工活动，在实践中积累了初步经验，为大学生励志创业奠定了良好的基础。各高校经常举办的励志创业计划大赛、课外科技发明大赛等为大学生励志创业活动的开展注入了生机和活力。

假入我当上了英语课代表，我会严格的要求自己，要求自己做好这个职务，成为同学们心中的好榜样，成为老师身边最得力的助手。当有同学在语文方面又困难的时候，我也会主动的帮助你，让你成为语文方面的尖子生。

也许有人更我还不熟悉，又点怀疑我的实力。在这里，我郑重的告诉你，你们不用怀疑我的实力，因为无论如何，不管我实力差还是实力强，我都会尽我的全力去做这份工作。我相信只要通过我的努力，我就一定会做的最好。请你们相信我。

如果我这次落选了，我也不会气馁，我会再接再励，努力学习争取在下次的班干部竞选的时候，成为语文课代表。到时候，你们也应该知道我的实力了!

大家好!很是初一(4)班的,我想竞选的是英语课代表。

很荣幸能站在这里参加班干部的竞选，在此我对大家的支持表示由衷的感谢。 小时候，父亲曾对我说过：做事要脚踏实地，一步一个脚印的去做。”不止一次，站上讲台参加竞选，我深感机会的来之不易，需要好好珍惜。正是由于这种动力，当我站在这里的时候，倍感自信。 当然仅仅有自信是不够的，还要有一定的能力。然而农村的教育水平终究不如城里，我比起班里的一些同学还是有差距的。从不会到会，从不好到好的过程，就是凭借着自信和虚心的态度来认真完成每一件工作的。但“人非圣贤，孰能无过”，我也犯过错，但我敢于面对自己的错误，从同学与老师的 帮助中虚心的接受批评，并改正错误，而且决不容许自己第二次在同一地方跌倒。 今天我之所以在这里参加竞选，是为了锻炼自己的能力，提高自己的英语水平，同时也会让全班的成绩一同提高。?当然，我如果没有当选，我也不会懈气，我会更加努力的。 最后，我真诚希望大家相信我，支持我，给我这次展示能力的机会。我将在这一片属于我们的天空中挥洒春的汗水，为班级的明天绘出一幅美好的蓝图。

大家好!我叫谢沛燃。这次我很荣幸能站在讲台上进行英语科代表的竞选。这次，我要通过我的努力，成为老师的助手，同学的榜样，我相信我一定能竞选上英语科代表这个职务。

一个人最可怜的是无知，最可悲的是自私，最可敬的是拼搏。不管我竞选成功与否，我都会让自私、无知与我无缘。只有那一股子拼劲，为大家，为班级做事。我在每次的英语考试中都能达到95分以上，成绩很不错，此外，我有着强烈的责任心，有丰富的经验，可以帮助老师做一些力所能及的事。如果我竞选成功，我一定会全心全意地为同学服务。每天早上，我会带领同学们进行早读，并把同学的作业收齐。在课上，我会带头积极举手发言;课下，如果有同学来问我不会的题，我也一定会耐心爽快地回答。如果遇到了一些难题，我会组织其他的同学共同探讨，并寻求老师的帮助。正因为如此，我有信心做好一名英语科代表。

Dear audience and judges,

My topic is "Can money buy happiness".

As we all know, money can buy all the goods in our life, no matter how huge it is. A spaceship, for example, if you really feel your bank account can afford it.

However, when it comes to love, satisfaction, happiness and many other human feelings, it is completely not like this. The result of many recent research can support my point. They said that, though people received far more money than ever, their standard for happiness also rised. That means, if you had one yuan, a car might be your dream, but if you had one million, you might consider owning a space trip. So when people always hope for those they can not afford, they will push themselves to an unhappy situation.

Anyhow, money equal wealthy in life but not happiness in mind. Only by changing our attitude to money and enjoying every day, can we obtain a truely happy future!

Almost everyone knows the famous Chinese saying：A young idler，an old beggar. Throughout history，we have seen many cases in which this saying has again and again proved to be true.

It goes without saying that the youth is the best time of life，during which ones mental and physical states are at their peaks. It takes relatively less time and pains to learn or accept new things in a world full of changes and rapid developments. In addition，one is less likely to be under great pressure from career，family and health problems when young. Therefore，a fresh mind plus enormous energy will ensure success in different aspects of life.

Of course，we all know：no pains，no gains. If we dont make every effort to make good use of the advantages youth brings us，it is impossible to achieve any goals. As students，we should now try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can be well prepared for the challenges that we will face in the future.

I enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation. But life in the university is not as satisfactory as what I had expected. I become lazy and dont want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I dont know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.

Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I dont want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five years.Its very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to

try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I cant reach its demand and its very diffcult,but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will,there is a way."I think my dream can come ture.Now in the university I mature,and in the university I prepare for the real world.

At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide,even some sacrifices are needed.But hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."

亲爱的同学们：

大家好!

很高兴能够再次站在这个讲台上，面对同学们熟悉的脸庞，参加班干部竞选活动。此时此刻，我的心里感到非常的激动，并且充满感慨。感到激动是因为我能有机会再次争取为大家服务;充满感慨是因为我已不再是那个初来乍到的小女孩，经过几年的风风雨雨，成功的喜乐、失败的教训，让我茁壮成长。相信，不管今天我从这里走下台后，竞选的结果会如何，我都会从心底感到高兴。

今天我竞选的是班长一职。我来参与竞选的目的只有一个：一切为同学服务。我自信在同学们的帮助下，我能胜任这项工作，正由于这种内驱力，当我走向这个讲台的时候，我感到信心百倍。

也许，在我说出这番“豪言壮语”后，有些人会暗自发笑：他怎么这么自负!可是我想说，这不是自负，这是自信!一个人如果连自己都不相信，那么他就没有资格做任何事，即使做了，也很难成功!我之所以能够站在这里，大部分是由于我的自信!当然，能力也很重要，因为一个人的信心和能力永远是成正比的。

在参加班级管理的过程中，尤其是参加竞选后，我明白了许多道理：做任何事都要有强烈的责任感，要认真履行自己的职责，才能无愧于心。在管理的同时，要严格要求自己，因为自己的一举一动都被同学们看在那里，如果连自己都管不好，如何去管别人?当然，管理时一定要有耐心，要顾及同学们的感受，不要去品尝“高处不胜寒”的滋味。否则，会给今后的工作带来许多困难。即使有困难，也应勇敢面对。

著名作家罗曼·罗兰说过一句话，只有先相信了自己，然后别人才会相信你。我想有足够的信心来相信自己。我有能力更有自信，能以新的方法带领我们的班级走向一个新的层次。世界上没有完美的人，我也不例外，但是我会尽量减少自己的缺点，同时也希望每个人都能提出我的不足，让我能正确认识自己，完善自己。

成为班长，是一种荣誉，更是一种责任。我知道这条路上有许多挑战，但我自信我有能力担起这副担子，因为我的热情，我的毅力，我实事求是的工作态度，能真正做好班长的工作。

I wish I could do that now. And I took it with my roommate, Carrie, who was then a brilliant literary student — and went on to be a brilliant literary scholar — and my brother — smart guy, but a water-polo-playing pre-med, who was a sophomore.The three of us take this class together. And then Carrie reads all the books in the original Greek and Latin, goes to all the lectures. I read all the books in English and go to most of the lectures. My brother is kind of busy. He reads one book of 12 and goes to a couple of lectures, marches himself up to our rooma couple days before the exam to get himself tutored. The three of us go to the exam together, and we sit down. And we sit there for three hours — and our little blue notebooks — yes, Im that old. We walk out, we look at each other, and we say, "How did you do?" And Carrie says, "Boy, I feel like I didnt really draw out the main point on the Hegelian dialectic." And I say, "God, I really wish I had really connected John Lockes theory of property with the philosophers that follow." And my brother says, "I got the top grade in the class."

I’ve been lucky. And my wish for all of you is that not only tomorrow, but 20 and 40 and 50 years from now, you’ve found that sweet spot, that thing that allows you to get up in the morning, put both feet on the floor, go out and pursue what you love, and think it still matters.

Some of you will go to Silicon Valley and make great contributions to empower individuals and societies and maybe even design a life-changing app, like how to unsubscribe to Obama for America email list -- (laughter) -- the biggest “pan-list” of all times.

Some of you will go to Wall Street and big Wall Street law firms, government and activism, Peace Corps, Teach for America. You’ll become doctors, researchers, journalists, artists, actors, musicians. Two of you -— one of whom was one of my former interns in the White House, Sam Cohen, and Andrew Heymann —- will be commissioned in the United States Navy. Congratulations, gentlemen. Were proud of you. (Applause.)

But all of you have one thing in common you will all seek to find that sweet spot that satisfies your ambition and success and happiness.

I’ve met an awful lot of people in my career. And I’ve noticed one thing, those who are the most successful and the happiest -- whether they’re working on Wall Street or Main Street, as a doctor or nurse, or as a lawyer, or a social worker, I’ve made certain basic observation about the ones who from my observation wherever they were in the world were able to find that sweet spot between success and happiness. Those who balance life and career, who find purpose and fulfillment, and where ambition leads them.

My hometown is Guangdong Maoming which lies in the south coast of China. I study in Shiyan High school and Im in grade 2.Our campus is very beautiful and there are much charming view.

I study hard every day and I wish to go abroad for further education.I have some hobbies such as basketball,tennis,swimming and so on.I like making friends with others.
